Located next to the only freestanding Heart Hospital outside of Texas Medical Center in Houston, we pride ourselves by offering complete cardiac care to our patients in a most relaxed and comfortable environment. Our mission is to "prevent" or in other cases "reverse" the damages caused due to heart disease and stroke.

About Dr. Gupta:

Dr. Swati K. Gupta graduated and received her post doctoral training at Howard University Hospital, Washington D.C. She is Board Certified in both Cardiology and Nuclear Cardiology. After practicing in a group setting for about three years, she started SKG Heart Center in 2003 to practice patient care, she feels is right and close to her own heart.

Some facts about women's heart health:

• Women often are more worried about breast cancer than heart disease.
• It is important to know that symptoms for heart disease for women are sometimes different than for men. 
• Too often women's symptoms are ignored or labeled as anxiousness.
• Women may avoid or delay seeking medical care, perhaps not being aware of heart attack symptoms.
